The author begins with a geograhic and geologic description of the county, discuses the boundary line between the state and county of Delaware, and includes a history of the county from colonial times through William Penn's settlement and chapters on wars up through the Civil War. Chapters on crime, customs, transportation, slavery, agriculture, wild animals, weather, courts, and medicine are also provided. In addition, there is a chapter on each township in the county. |
